Little Barnacle was started by a designer, who, while pregnant, went on an internet rampage to find playful, gender neutral baby clothes. She searched high and low and came up with... some options... but mostly short handed. That means, they love earth tones, but it's mind-bogglingly challenging to find baby clothes that are bright! So this pregnant designer grabbed a pencil and started sketching. Bug Baby Bodysuit was born out of a need for the kind of bright, playful, and gender-neutral clothing that parents are looking for. These pieces are designed with comfort, quality, and style in mind.
Little Barnacle garments exude the personality of the small people wearing them. The designs are vibrant, whimsical, and full of color. Quality is of the utmost importance; they use 100% organic cotton (GOTS certified) for its comforting, breathable, and non-toxic properties. With sustainability always in mind, Little Barnacle looks to minimize and counteract their environmental impact.
Little Barnacle has created clothing for toddlers to help give back to the environment. As a member of 1% for the Planet, 1% of their annual sales revenue is donated to environmental non-profits, certified by the organization for accountability.
Their production partner is GOTS certified, guaranteeing eco-friendly and ethical manufacturing. Bug Baby Bodysuits are crafted with 100% organic cotton for superior softness and safety for your infant. Organic cotton does not utilize pesticides or fertilizers that pollute environments, thereby protecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and individuals. Additionally, 62% less energy and up to 91% less water is used in the production of organic cotton compared to GMO cotton. GOTS also imposes an obligation on minimizing energy consumption.
