Mama Siesta collaborates with several partners to embrace their design ideas and aspirations. Their aim is to support the conservation of the planet. Virunga National Park, the oldest protected area in Africa located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a befitting partner for them as it is home to only 880 Mountain Gorillas worldwide, of which a fourth is found in Virunga. Mama Siesta draws its inspiration from a Gorilla mother's protection of her offspring, and that is represented in its logo. In addition to partnering with Virunga, Sea Shepherd are actively countering rampant overfishing, illegal fishing, plastic waste and hazardous nets in the oceans. They strive to preserve marine species from all sources of harm, and to keep the aquatic habitats as pristine as can be.
