The Founders Story Goes Like This

Mike Wiesel and wife Mary Pallett - long-time soapmakers and crafters of Knowlton, Quebec - became the proud parents of two daughters. They shared their life experience by teaching the girls practical skills, like how to make playdough from scratch, crack eggs without shell residue, and create lip balm from a kit.

When left unsupervised for a moment, Mary's two-year-old daughter began consuming the freshly-made tube of lip balm. Frightened, Mary removed the product from her child's mouth and examined the ingredients printed on the box. What were these components? How many unfamiliar chemical names were there?

Mike, a master of soap production, knew something must be done. He put his skills to work and created a safe, non-toxic, paraben-free, synthetic dye-free, all-natural lip balm using purely natural ingredients. The procedure was so straightforward that Mike and Mary began selling DIY Lip Balm kits in the store they had bought before starting their family. The kits sold extremely fast.

Realizing the appeal of make-it-yourself kits, Mike and Mary opted to expand their repertoire of such products to feature DIY Bath Fizzies, Glycerin Soap, and Lip Gloss. The kits sold rapidly, eventually resulting in the founding of Kiss Naturals in 2008. Over the next decade, kids from the US, Canada, Mexico, and Australia had the opportunity to experience what Kiss Naturals had to offer.
