Mena Aklilu
Mena was born in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, and like many others found herself comin to America searching for a better life. Her work depicts the very nature of what it means to dream. Intertwining two worlds to create one, she has defied nature and weaved the impossible. As a child she used her passion for art to escape to far away places, and through time began to connect to the world around her. There are no limits to what medium Mena may dive into, but acrylic, watercolor, and paint pens tend to be her go tos.
