A Pacific Northwest favorite-the giant pacific octopus! This original design is inspired by our local sea life and features a curious octopus, starfish, and sand dollars. Hand carved and printed on blue, gray, or mauve short sleeve tees in black ink.

CARE: Wash the item inside out and in cool water to extend the life of the print. Lay flat to dry.

Through the block printing process there are variations in the saturation of ink, location, and sharpness of the image. Some prints may also include lines around the image which are carving marks from the stamp, and difficult to avoid completely in this process. About Melissa Melissa Pothier Art

With joyful designs block printed in the Pacific Northwest, her work draws inspiration from vintage illustrations, folk art, traditional tattoo imagery, animals, and flowers. After earning an art education degree and teaching art for nearly a decade, she began printing her original block prints on fabric in 2014. Motivated by her toddler son's love of nature and tractors, her original pieces were made for him. Her portfolio has expanded over the years, now containing an eclectic array of unique prints. Every piece is printed with blocks designed and carved by her, then printed onto clothing and home items with care. Her goal is to create cozy, timeless garments that bring joy to their owner.
